Environmentally Friendly Lignin Fiber

Characteristics:

1.Fortune Cat^® Environmentally Friendly Lignin Fiber is also klso known as lignocellulose or lignocellulose, it is one of the important raw materials for producing hot mix asphalt horseshoe fat crushed stone mixture (SMA), which plays a role in adsorbing asphalt, enhancing the bonding strength of the binder, and stabilizing it. It is an organic fiber obtained from natural wood through chemical treatment, with a cotton like appearance and a white or grayish white color. By screening, splitting, high-temperature treatment, bleaching, chemical treatment, neutralization, and sieving, fibers of different lengths and thicknesses are divided to meet different needs. Due to the high processing temperature of over 260 ℃, it is a chemically stable substance under normal conditions and is not corroded by ordinary solvents, acids, or alkalis. It has excellent qualities of non-toxic, odorless, pollution-free, and non radioactive, does not affect the environment, is harmless to human health, and is a green and environmentally friendly product, which is not possessed by other mineral fibers. The microstructure of fibers is banded and curved, uneven, porous, and flat at intersections. 2.Function of Fortune Cat^® Environmentally Friendly Lignin Fiber:

(1) Reinforcement

Adding fibers to SMA mixtures, fibers exist in a single three-dimensional dispersed phase in the mixture, such as various steel fiber reinforced concrete, geogrids, geotextiles, and other reinforced material samples, which can play a reinforcing role.

(2) Dispersion

If there is no fiber, a large amount of asphalt mineral powder is likely to become agglomerates, which cannot be evenly dispersed between the aggregates. When laid on the road surface, “oil spots” will be clearly visible, and fibers can disperse the agglomerates.

(3) Adsorption and absorption of asphalt

The purpose of adding fibers to SMA mixture is to fully adsorb (surface) and absorb (internal) asphalt, thereby increasing the amount of asphalt, thickening the asphalt oil film, and improving the durability of the mixture.

(4) Stable

Fibers keep the asphalt film in a relatively stable state, especially during the hot summer season. When the asphalt expands due to heat, the gaps inside the fibers will also become a single buffering space, preventing it from becoming free asphalt and causing oil leakage, which is also beneficial for high-temperature stability.

(5) Thickening

Fibers will increase the adhesion between asphalt and aggregate, and improve the adhesion between aggregates through the adhesion of oil film.
